This book has more to offer than meets the eye. After studying with Orthodox Rabbi's and getting a degree in Theology this book is the topping on the cake. Once you begin studying to know what the true history of the Hebrews presents, as well as the history of the 1st Century followers of Yeshua, you quickly discover (without Rabbi Asher's help) that the so called Bible we all use today has been manipulated and re-scripted to conform to the beliefs of the religious group who are writing their version. In actuality we have very little scripture that is even remotely close to the originals. Thank G-d for the Dead Sea Scrolls, Enoch, Jasher, and Jubilee's as well as other apocryphal writings,and historians. If you really believe in G-d, start researching about the history- and addition to the texts by us Jews and you Christians. This is where Dr. Asher shines. He does give direction to research for yourself to find out what the scripture originally says, and enables you, if you want, to find out the information by your own research. Its out there....but do you want to do the work?.. or be spoon fed by others who are lying to you. Find out for yourself what the Bible really teaches. It is refreshing, and guaranteed to open the true door to the true Creator who never ever formed a religion. Only good and holy laws of the universe to live by. Starting with the Everlasting Agreement...which most religions never even teach! The books by Dr. Asher are absolutely accurate (when you research to prove him wrong you will only find out he is right, and worse yet , there is more than he writes about) but after a diet of religion you may find that it is hard to swallow real food. I highly recommend reading R. Ashers books, then researching on your own the authenticity of his writings. This is a book of hope! However reading his first book, Land of Milk and Honey is a must!
Be ready to get out your highlighter and pen this is not a one time read! For this is not a repeat performance of all the end time books you have ever read. His material is well supported and will make you think outside of your box.

This intelligently written book has loads of scripture to back up what is being put forth. If you truly want to know and desire to study this is the book for you. It opened my eyes to many lies we are told from our "authority figures". Knowledge is power and truth is your best defense against the lies and falsehood that is being shoved down our throats daily. Check this book out, it give many insights into the Greater Exodus. Always trust but verify everything you learn.

"The Greater Exodus" follows the 2012 publication of Dr Shmuel Asher's first book, "The Land of Milk & Honey." As a truly authentic Hebrew scholar, Shmuel Asher asks the same question in both books Why do I believe what I believe? It's the penultimate question for Christians and Jews "at the end of man's days." That's the phrase Dr Asher uses to set the time frame for his must-read books. Both are a call for the Sons of Jacob to disentangle themselves from generations of false dogma and awaken to an end-time story that is clearly depicted by the ancient Hebrew prophets. It's our long standing traditional beliefs that keep us from hearing the "voices of The Eternal GOD'S messengers."
"The Greater Exodus" should be read by all those who have already identified themselves with the scattered seed of Abraham - Jews and Christians alike (It's Asher's unique gift to be able to speak equally to both houses) - and all those who choose to identify with the Almighty's people. As with his first book, "The Land of Milk & Honey," Dr Asher takes a firm stance against the countless false teachers of our time. That includes all the many Protestant denominations with their vested interests and political alliances, the Jewish culture that has failed miserably in it's mandate to teach the world, and the often distorted and mistranslated Hebrew Scriptures. So this book is a warning to those teachers and their followers who remain entrenched in their orthodoxy. Be warned the Protestant 'Jesus' is not the saviour of mankind as depicted depicted in both the 'old' and 'new' Testaments. Be warned again those who are waiting to be saved by the Rapture will fall headlong into the very fate they are hoping to escape. Turning a deaf ear to these warnings will ensure that you will NOT be delivered from the soon-coming time of Jacob's trouble.
(Despite my seemingly over-the-top enthusiasm, I'm concerned with the reference to HD TV's ability to subliminally control minds as suggested by Asher's book. Outside of his books, Asher endorses various conspiracy theories and other modern absurdities.... staged moon landings and so forth. It's also disappointing that The Greater Exodus devotes some 90 pages disputing the messianic passages in both the Hebrew and Christian scriptures. I admit that these troubling matters are highly detrimental to Asher's credibility.)
I commend Shmuel Asher for his faith and wisdom. After many years of study and meditation, I have come to similar conclusions about the 'end-times.' Nevertheless, Dr Asher's books have been of inestimable value to me personally. I have no hesitation in saying that his books are significant and timely... and I've read a lot of books.
